The Department of Political Science serves as the intellectual hub for professors, staff, undergraduate scholars, and graduate researchers united by their passion for political studies and academic growth. Our department provides two bachelor's programs - one in political science and another in public and nonprofit administration. We also offer master's degrees in political science and public administration, along with a Ph.D. in political science. Recognized as one of OU's most diverse academic units, our faculty and students explore wide-ranging subjects including American government, global comparative politics, international affairs, policy studies, administrative sciences, and political philosophy. We embrace all scholarly approaches without methodological constraints. Our vibrant community of educators and learners follows numerous pathways to understanding. The department collaborates with several prestigious centers: the Carl Albert Congressional Research Center, OU POLL (Public Opinion Learning Lab), Public Affairs Institute, International Studies program, American Constitutional Heritage initiative, and Social Research Center.

Freshman must submit official transcripts from all secondary or middle schools attended. If secondary school in your country includes standardized graduation exams and certificates, official copies of these should be submitted.
All freshman applicants are required to submit one letter of recommendation, two additional letters may be submitted.

Any high school official, including a counselor, teacher, principal, etc. Preferably someone who knows the student well.
Students will need to know the name and email address of their preferred recommender so he/she can be contacted about composing the letter of recommendation.
