The Art Department has unveiled a revamped B.F.A. program tailored for students who view themselves as both creative practitioners and academic thinkers. This updated curriculum merges the art department's immersive studio environment with expanded opportunities to explore electives across the university. Emphasizing cross-disciplinary connections, the department seeks to cultivate a network of artists prepared to engage with the world as both creative visionaries and thought leaders. Students can design a personalized academic path to develop a sophisticated artistic approach as early as possible. The B.F.A. program comprises two academic segments: department-specific art courses (64 credits) and university-wide electives (56 credits). The art curriculum includes seminars and foundational studio classes covering: Digital media, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Plus diverse specialized subjects. During the initial three semesters, students take six introductory studio courses (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, print media, and digital media) alongside an intensive art seminar as part of the departmental requirements.
Students completing their high school during the 2021-22 academic year or if they've graduated from high school but have earned fewer than 12 credits at a college or university are eligible for admission as first year students.
TOEFL - Score of 100 and above (Internet-based exam); 70 and above on the PTE Academic; IELTS - Score of 7.5.
