Equips students with expertise in preventive diplomacy, mediation, and peacebuilding applicable across all public and international affairs sectors. The International Conflict Resolution (ICR) specialization delivers policy insights and practical methods for addressing conflicts at local, national, regional, and global scales. ICR presents a uniquely varied curriculum and experiential learning opportunities, highlighting conflict resolution's relevance across all policy areas and professional domains. True to SIPA's interdisciplinary approach, ICR develops analytical capabilities transferable to diverse fields and career trajectories. Through engagements with leading experts, simulation exercises, and field research initiatives, students gain hands-on experience in conflict resolution techniques and atrocity prevention strategies. ICR attracts aspiring change-makers who aim to foster peace through creative policy solutions, decisive action, and unconventional approaches. Our students question established norms and push for more effective solutions in both local communities and global arenas, whether working through governmental bodies, international organizations, private enterprises, or civil society groups.
