An interdisciplinary program equipping students with essential content knowledge, critical analysis abilities, and problem-solving skills for thriving careers in urban and social policy. This Urban and Social Policy concentration offers two specialized tracks tailored to individual academic and professional goals: The Urban Policy track explores policy challenges and solutions specific to global cities, covering areas like municipal governance, urban development, housing policies, transportation systems, and educational initiatives, while also examining cutting-edge approaches in sustainable design, smart technology, and economic growth. The Social Policy track trains students to develop, execute, and assess initiatives that expand economic opportunities for underserved communities and address societal challenges including poverty, unemployment, social inequality, criminal justice reform, housing insecurity, healthcare access, and aging populations.
