The Department of Statistics provides educational programs covering both theoretical and practical aspects of statistics and probability. It collaborates with other schools to offer joint programs in Data Science (with the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science), Mathematics of Finance (with the Mathematics Department), Actuarial Science (with the School of Professional Studies), and Quantitative Methods in Social Science (with the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy). Applicant must have the equivalent of the U.S. baccalaureate degree with a superior examination record and can understand rapid idiomatic English and can speak, write and read English with a high degree of facility are eligible for admission.

Applicant must have TOEFL score of 600 on paper-and-pencil test, 100 on the internet-based test and IELTS score of 7.5
