The program's cornerstone is a two-year dissertation project, requiring students to produce groundbreaking academic work through thorough research and critical examination. Participants begin their studies at Columbia University in New York before transitioning to the London School of Economics for their second year, earning dual degrees. By engaging with the dynamic academic environments of these world-class cities, alumni emerge ready for professional paths in government, media, research organizations, non-profits, and higher education.
The dual Master’s degree program in International and World History welcomes applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds. Students are selected for admission based on their academic and professional pursuits, in addition to their unique interests and life experiences.
