The Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics concentrates on two primary educational and research domains: The traditional civil engineering discipline, which addresses the development, planning, construction, and upkeep of infrastructure, alongside mechanics science, encompassing material characteristics, structural stress evaluation, complex system dynamics and vibrations, fluid dynamics, and biomechanics. In order to be eligible for admission, international applicants must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree.
