The DDS/MA dual degree program in Science and Dental Education allows a limited group of dental students passionate about teaching to obtain an MA from Teachers College alongside their dental degree. This curriculum blends dental coursework from CDM with specialized education classes focused on dental research, medical practice, and foundational teaching methodologies. Most dental educators hold professional doctorates but lack formal training in education, a gap often recognized within the field.
