Qualification Requirements

All students applying to the College of Dental Medicine must have a Bachelor's degree from a US accredited college or Canadian institution. Additional requirements include:

  • 6 credits, or the equivalent of one academic year of study, of coursework in English composition or literature or a writing intensive class in a non-English department
  • 6 credits in mathematics
  • A minimum of 8 credits, or the equivalent of one academic year of study, in each the following subject areas (including lab):
  • 1 year of physics
  • 1 year of biology
  • 1 year of inorganic or general chemistry
  • 1 year of organic chemistry
  • 1 semester of biochemistry (no lab required)

We also strongly recommend that students have university-level credits in:

  • Sociology
  • History
  • Fine or industrial arts
  • One or more foreign languages

English Language Requirement

Applicant must have TOEFL score of 600 on paper-and-pencil test, 100 on the internet-based test and IELTS score of 7.5
