This focused program helps students secure employment and strengthens their chances of acceptance into graduate programs addressing climate change and modern socio-ecological challenges by showcasing their existing specialized expertise. Specifically, the Political Ecology track equips students for: 1) advanced studies in environmental anthropology, human geography, environmental studies, environmental humanities, and related fields, 2) positions at NGOs, government bodies, and international organizations dealing with sustainability, climate change, and their societal impacts, 3) roles with forward-thinking groups dedicated to decarbonization and climate change solutions, 4) environmental journalism (an expanding sector), and 5) various other climate-focused career paths.
