At Barnard Anthropology, students gain fresh perspectives for observing and interpreting the world, appreciating diversity, and thinking globally while remaining grounded in daily human experiences. Faculty research covers diverse areas including: religious practices, media's societal impact, global interconnectedness, environmental preservation, scientific and medical advancements, technological influences, travel and economic growth, visual and tangible cultural expressions, and how language molds individuals and daily existence.
