The BMB department's Master's programs equip students with comprehensive expertise in cellular biochemistry, gene regulation, computational biology, molecular genetics, and biophysical sciences. Our distinguished faculty, who are actively engaged in pioneering biochemistry research, deliver a rigorous curriculum. This program serves as excellent preparation for diverse career paths including academic research, public sector roles, biotech firms, medical fields, or drug development, while also enhancing prospects for advanced degree programs. The Plan B M.S. is an intensive one-year, coursework-based program focusing on fundamental principles and emerging developments in biochemistry, culminating in a capstone project alongside 30 credit hours. Alternatively, the Plan A M.S. includes the same core coursework but adds hands-on laboratory research under BMB faculty supervision and requires submission of a Master's thesis.
