Our Human Bioenergetics Ph.D. program takes an interdisciplinary approach to investigating energy systems, delving into the mechanisms of energy conversion within the human body. We examine the body's energy regulation processes and their impact on health and wellbeing, with particular focus on metabolic pathways. Our studies track how nutrients transform into usable energy and investigate how this energy influences health across different life stages. We analyze energy's role in physiological performance, from elite competitors to individuals managing age-related conditions and illnesses. As a Ph.D. candidate, you'll collaborate with our research team on pioneering projects, contributing to diverse studies and academic initiatives that position you as a vital member of our Health and Exercise Science community.
