Graduates acquire technical expertise in troubleshooting, strategic systems planning, collaborative team decision-making, data analysis, effective communication (both written and spoken), and computer proficiency. They gain practical business skills and understand the historical development of environmental conservation. Furthermore, graduates cultivate an awareness of their field's role in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. The program offers two specializations: Global Tourism and Natural Resource Tourism.
Learning Objectives
Students will develop:
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly emphasizing writing proficiency. Their work will showcase high-quality communication through well-structured content, clear organization, proper mechanics, and supporting evidence.
Research and critical thinking capabilities. These include formulating problem statements, developing research questions, applying data collection methods, analyzing information, and drawing meaningful management conclusions.
Strategic planning competencies. Students will master the planning process by establishing goals, gathering background information, synthesizing data, generating ideas, evaluating alternatives, making recommendations, and assessing decision outcomes.
