The interdisciplinary Biomedical Science program (BMS) offers students comprehensive education in applied life sciences. This curriculum equips graduates for careers in public sector organizations, government entities, private companies, academic institutions, as well as advanced studies in medical, veterinary, and allied health disciplines. The program begins with core science coursework covering biology, physics, general and organic chemistry, mathematics, and statistics, followed by specialized tracks (anatomy and physiology, environmental public health, or microbiology and infectious disease) to align studies with professional aspirations.
The foundational science courses fulfill numerous prerequisites for professional degree programs. Hands-on learning is strongly promoted through options like laboratory research, course instruction/tutoring, volunteer work, student organization leadership, international study, internships, and honors coursework. These experiences are tailored to each student's academic interests and vocational objectives.
