Organ students can showcase their skills on the renowned Casavant organ, an instrument of global acclaim since its 1968 installation. Recognized by Anton Heiller as one of the planet's top 25 organs that year, Colorado State University's Casavant exemplifies North German craftsmanship, celebrated worldwide for its exceptional tonal balance. Beyond regular practice and lessons on this masterpiece, students benefit from access to three other outstanding Fort Collins organs through partnerships with local churches: St. Luke's Episcopal Church's Phelps organ, First United Methodist Church's Marcussen & Son instrument, and the American Baptist Church's Allen Digital organ. Harpsichord students work with a Dennis Brown-built instrument (1982), a two-manual, three-choir creation modeled after Taskin's legendary Versailles designs.

The Liturgical Studies program enhances degree options for music students pursuing church music careers while serving as professional development for community musicians. This curriculum combines liturgical music theory and history with hands-on training and performance instruction, preparing students for various church music roles.
