The Jazz Associate in Arts Degree acknowledges proficiency in fundamental Jazz principles. Learners will explore core Jazz concepts, performance methods, improvisation abilities, and the historical development of Jazz, including chord structures, notation systems, stylistic progression from Blues and Ragtime to contemporary forms, and group performance skills such as harmonization, sound quality, sheet music interpretation, and individual improvisation. Upon finishing this program, graduates will be prepared to perform live, create original compositions, engage in studio recordings, or pursue further education toward a bachelor's degree.
