The Geochemistry (GC) pathway focuses on Earth's historical development and geological transformations, covering areas like crust and mantle chemical changes, energy and mineral resource geochemistry, water-based geochemistry, fluid-rock/mineral interactions, and chemical mineral studies.

The Environmental Biogeochemistry (EBGC) pathway examines the interconnected chemical and biological systems of our planet's biosphere, along with how human actions alter these natural processes.
