The Department of Applied Science is an interdisciplinary graduate program primarily offering a Ph.D., with select M.S. degree options available. Students can tailor both degrees to specialize in various physical and natural science disciplines. Each graduate works closely with their advisory committee to design a personalized academic path aligned with their career aspirations. Our diverse student body brings varied backgrounds and professional objectives to the program. New graduate students engage in coursework, faculty mentorship, peer collaboration, and seminar participation as part of their academic journey. The curriculum's coursework is exceptionally adaptable, developed in consultation with each student's faculty advisory team. The Applied Science Ph.D. program provides full financial support, including a $31,000 annual Research Assistantship, plus tuition coverage and health benefits.
