Students can enroll in a dual-degree program that combines educational leadership with public policy, earning both an Ed.D. and M.P.P. in five years rather than the typical six years needed for separate degrees. Applicants must be admitted by both the Graduate School of Education and W&M Public Policy. Alternatively, the program offers a three-year option to complete both a M.Ed. and M.P.P., saving one year compared to pursuing them individually. Admission requires approval from the Graduate School of Education and W&M Public Policy. For doctoral candidates, there's also a five-year pathway to earn a Ph.D. alongside a M.P.P., reducing the total time by one year. Prospective students must gain acceptance from both institutions to participate.
