Secondary Mathematics
Hands-on clinical practice forms a vital part of the School of Education's teacher training curriculum. Future educators gain diverse classroom exposure at partner public schools, connecting academic theory with real-world teaching practice during their preparation and eventual careers.
During autumn, secondary education students complete at least 60 field hours, honing teaching techniques, engaging with pupils, analyzing experiences, and understanding school environments. This groundwork leads to the capstone student teaching experience—a crucial 15-week spring immersion that solidifies candidates' professional growth.
