After finishing this certificate program, learners will have fulfilled the initial year requirements for CSN's Associate of Arts in Computer Science.
The curriculum covers essential competencies in mathematics, various communication methods (speaking, writing, and active listening), coding, and core computer science principles.
IMPORTANT: This program was originally designed as a dual-enrollment opportunity for high schoolers. It represents the first academic year toward an Associate of Arts: Computer Science degree. High school participants earn simultaneous credits for both their secondary education and CSN. With this pathway, students could potentially complete a computer science bachelor's degree within three years after high school graduation. The program is also open to non-high school students.
