This program equips students with essential skills for supporting the planning, design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of devices like ATMs, kiosks, slot machines, and similar equipment. The curriculum covers network management systems, including player tracking/slot management or ATM network monitoring. Relevant regulations, such as those for gaming or banking, are addressed within each specialization. Students will learn about key common and specialized components and sub-assemblies, including random number generators, opto-couplers, coin comparators, bill acceptors, and printers. The course also explores the computers and networks that utilize these devices, with a focus on slot machine gaming. This two-year program teaches repair techniques and procedures specific to the industries served by each concentration, delivered through hands-on training in a modern, state-of-the-art setting.

Student Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate practical understanding of the operational principles of typical self-service devices, including electronic slot machines, ATMs, and/or kiosks, as well as Pseudo Random Number Generators, ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM, RAM, and stepper motors.
Explain the functionality of standard peripheral devices, external features, currency handling mechanisms, and operational modes in equipment such as slot machines, ATMs, and/or kiosks.
Recognize electronic circuits and components employed in these devices.
Exhibit strong work ethics and interpersonal abilities in team settings, and effectively present written and oral project reports.
Analyze and resolve issues related to the installation and functioning of networks that support devices like slot machines and computers.
