The Criminal Justice degree through the Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) equips students for careers as peace officers within Nevada's law enforcement agencies, meeting the standards set by the State of Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST). The program utilizes an active learning approach with assessments including written tests, interactive simulations, and case study analysis. Candidates must successfully complete a written exam, oral interview, physical fitness test, medical evaluation, psychological screening, polygraph test, and hold both a Nevada concealed carry permit and state driver's license.

Differentiate between Nevada Revised Statutes and determine suitable situations for applying specific criminal laws.
