The Women's and Gender Studies program is an interdisciplinary collaboration across 18 departments and three colleges. This field equips students with highly sought-after abilities like critical analysis, effective communication, and creative problem-solving - skills that translate directly to professional settings. Whether pursuing a major or minor, students gain versatile competencies applicable to diverse careers. Graduates enter fields ranging from social advocacy and community work to corporate environments and public service. Many secure positions in education, healthcare, or legal sectors. The program develops crucial capabilities including: analytical evaluation of data, project planning and assessment, effective cross-cultural communication, research proficiency regarding modern societal challenges, and nuanced understanding of workplace diversity across gender, sexuality, race, culture, and socioeconomic status.
If you have successfully completed your high school degree (12 years of primary and secondary education), you are considered an undergraduate student at CSU.
Meet minimum test score requirements:
TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based): 78 and at least 17 in each section
