Qualification Requirements
Have completed a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a recognized international university with a bachelor's degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelors.
Have completed a master's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Have a minimum of two years teaching experience or the equivalent
Submit an online Graduate School application which requires:
Unofficial transcripts (official transcript(s) will be required if you are accepted into the program.)
Competitive, official GRE or GMAT scores taken within the last ten years
GRE scores accompanying a Ph.D. application will be considered as part of a holistic application review.

Two recommendation forms
Recommendation forms are emailed directly to recommenders via the online application process
Letter of intent
Writing sample that communicates the applicant's professional philosophy and goals, research interests and purpose for seeking the doctorate.
The letter should be two to three pages in length.

Participate in an on-campus or virtual interview (meritorious applications only)
Applicants to graduate programs at Clemson University must hold a four-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or a master's degree from an institution whose scholastic rating is satisfactory to the University. If you are uncertain whether an institution that awarded your degree is a qualifying institution, contact your program's coordinator.
GRE- Requirement varies by department. Official scores must be received directly from Educational Testing Service. Clemson's institution code is 5111. GRE scores are valid for five years. If you're a current Clemson University student, be sure to choose Clemson as a designated score recipient as well as your attending institution.
GMAT- Requirement varies by department. GMAT scores are valid for five years.
MAT- Can be taken in lieu of GRE for some College of Education programs (check your program's website to confirm). Clemson's institution code is 1707. MAT scores are valid for five years.

Duolingo English Test (international students) - (115 or higher)
IELTS (international students) - (6.5 or higher)
PTE Academic (international students) - (54 or higher)
