Students holding degrees in physics, applied mathematics, or any engineering discipline may apply for the mechanical engineering Ph.D. and M.S. programs. Those without a mechanical engineering bachelor's degree might need to complete supplementary courses. The graduate program covers diverse mechanical engineering specialties, from manufacturing systems and material processing to thermodynamics, materials mechanics, dynamic systems and controls, plus engineering design methodologies and practices, incorporating experimental, analytical, and computational approaches.
