The forestry profession fundamentally focuses on preserving natural resources and enhancing our environment through scientifically grounded management approaches. Practical problem-solving and applied research form the cornerstone of our curriculum. Just minutes from campus lies our 17,500-acre Experimental Forest, serving as a living laboratory for education, research, and outdoor activities. Students utilize cutting-edge geographic information systems (GIS) and global positioning technology (GPS) for advanced mapping applications.
Career opportunities span from hands-on fieldwork and scientific research to management-focused roles. Every student participates in a rigorous seven-week Summer Camp designed to produce job-ready professionals. Our program holds accreditation from the Society of American Foresters.
