Clemson offers two undergraduate art degree options: the flexible B.A. in liberal arts and the specialized B.F.A. professional program. The Bachelor of Arts provides an interdisciplinary approach, leveraging Clemson's extensive range of art and art history courses. Students in this program can focus on studio art, digital art and design media, or art history. The curriculum allows for personalization through minors or double majors, enabling students to align their studies with career goals while benefiting from Clemson's research university resources. B.A. candidates complete their degree with a professional preparation course. Applicants should select "art" when applying for the B.A. program. The Bachelor of Fine Arts represents the standard professional qualification in visual arts, combining academic studies with intensive studio practice across various disciplines such as ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and new media arts to prepare students for artistic careers.
