Clemson University provides both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in criminal justice. Those pursuing a B.A. complete a four-semester foreign language requirement along with supplementary humanities classes, equipping them for public-facing professions. B.S. candidates undertake a two-semester research methods sequence plus additional math and science coursework, preparing them for technical positions in the field. Criminal justice majors enter diverse careers including law enforcement, corrections, legal practice, government service, social work, and policy analysis.
Graduates have secured employment across all levels of law enforcement - from local agencies to federal organizations like the FBI and U.S. Marshals Service, as well as the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. The accelerated Bachelor's-to-Graduate program allows high-achieving undergraduates to simultaneously complete their bachelor's degree while starting coursework toward a master's in social science.
