Our program focuses on applying quantitative abilities, analytical reasoning, and mathematical techniques to solve problems across diverse sectors. At Clarkson, collaborate with peers to address complex real-world challenges using mathematical and statistical approaches. The adaptable course structure allows you to tailor your expertise to particular fields such as business or engineering. Enhance your practical knowledge by engaging in faculty-led research initiatives or enrolling in graduate-level courses during your undergraduate studies. Notably, our 2023 Applied Mathematics and Statistics graduates achieved full career placement.
All Clarkson students must fulfill a Professional Experience requirement prior to graduation. As an applied mathematics and statistics student, you'll develop and apply sought-after competencies, including data analysis and interpretation. Previous students have completed internships at prominent national labs, global research centers, and various industry settings.
Graduates in applied mathematics and statistics pursue careers in nearly all scientific, engineering, industrial, and technological domains. Employers actively seek professionals with our graduates' skill sets for tasks like prototype evaluation, simulation management, predictive modeling, risk assessment, and beyond.
