After earning your PhD in research methodology from Loyola, you'll gain the essential knowledge, abilities, and ethical principles to launch a career as an institutional researcher, evaluator, academic professor, or research professional at major organizations, assessment firms, or educational consulting agencies. You'll master evaluation techniques, statistical analysis, and measurement principles, while developing the discernment to identify misrepresented research or data misuse. Our experienced faculty will guide you through qualitative and quantitative approaches, covering applied statistics and psychometric methods. You'll understand how numerical data connects to decision-making, policy formation, and advocacy efforts. The program will enable you to critically assess research from diverse methodological perspectives, utilize various analytical software tools, and execute complete research projects in practical environments. Additionally, you'll engage in mandatory consulting work, completing research projects and offering expert guidance to researchers or organizations.

Official Transcripts
Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work. To be eligible for admission, your transcript must show an earned bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree in progress. Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable, faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts, we have them on record. Transcripts must show a GPA of at least a 3.0. In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted. Each program area gives meaningful consideration to the applicant's graduate GPA, recommendations, professional experience and reasons for pursuing a graduate program, as well as to the diversity of the student body.
