Your academic journey starts with fundamental science and mathematics coursework. You'll participate in practical research projects and collaborate directly with distinguished faculty. For five decades, our unique capstone initiative has connected students with professors for impactful research projects - a program unmatched by other Michigan public institutions. Over the years, numerous students have successfully completed capstone projects, with many publishing their results in academic journals and showcasing their work at national conferences.
Although your capstone project represents your personal interests, you'll receive continuous support. A faculty advisor will provide expert guidance throughout the process. The experience includes creating a research poster, composing a thesis, and potentially presenting your findings publicly.
