The Master of Science in Statistics with an Entrepreneurial Focus (MSS-ET) is a career-oriented degree that equips students with statistical expertise for data-driven decision-making in corporate, public sector, and consulting settings where risk assessment is crucial. This program enhances our traditional statistics master's by incorporating business education components. The Entrepreneurial Track delivers both academic knowledge and practical business exposure for statistically-trained students with entrepreneurial aspirations. Completing the MSS-ET program necessitates at least 30 credit hours.
Essential courses in New Venture Development and Tech Entrepreneurship are provided through Weatherhead School of Management. Internship participants will enroll in the consulting seminar series. Students must also attend a concentrated one-week workshop (approximately 30 hours) each year, focusing on statistical applications from a managerial standpoint. This non-credit workshop occurs during undergraduate fall or spring recess periods.
