Our 30-credit Master of Laws program caters to both U.S. and international students without a prior law degree who want U.S. legal education without pursuing a full Juris Doctor. This program benefits professionals in law-adjacent fields who don't require JD certification, graduate students seeking legal knowledge for dual-degree programs without intending to practice law, and individuals aiming to strengthen their qualifications before JD program applications.
Case Western Reserve University School of Law currently provides two types of Master of Laws programs, available as full-time studies completed in nine months or part-time studies extendable to four years, with options to pair with other graduate degrees. Law school courses are scheduled primarily during daytime hours, with some late-afternoon, evening, and summer classes available. Admission is highly selective, with only a few candidates accepted annually.
