The Political Science Department provides a Bachelor of Arts program in political science. When students declare this major, they'll receive guidance from a faculty advisor who will help with course selection and post-graduation planning. The program promotes comprehensive learning across key areas including Comparative Politics, International Relations, and US Politics, while building both subject knowledge and analytical skills. While not mandatory, students are encouraged to enroll in the Research Methods seminar. No prerequisite courses are needed for this major.
Graduates will gain the ability to evaluate and debate different political perspectives and institutional frameworks. They'll learn to connect political theories and concepts to actual political occurrences. Additionally, students will develop the capacity to formulate their own political inquiries, drawing from both personal interests and academic research.
