The Anthropology department provides a Bachelor of Arts degree featuring five specialized tracks along with a Minor option. Following foundational coursework in anthropological principles, theories, and methodologies, students partner with faculty and regional organizations. The dynamic curriculum addresses local and statewide requirements, equipping learners with diverse research techniques such as ethnographic studies, observational research, visual anthropology, social documentation, traditional medicine studies, plant-human relationships, human evolution research, and archaeological investigation. Emphasis is placed on sustained partnerships with native populations for research and documentation initiatives. Graduates emerge with deep understanding of the multifaceted social, institutional, historical, and cultural factors affecting indigenous groups worldwide.
