The Bachelor of Science in Biology provides students with comprehensive training across biological disciplines while offering flexibility to focus on specific areas of interest. The program's core curriculum explores the connections between biological structures and their functions, examining processes at multiple scales from molecular to ecosystem levels. Advanced elective courses enable students to customize their studies toward particular biological specialties. Graduates are equipped for diverse career paths including roles in academic, governmental, nonprofit, or corporate settings, as well as preparation for graduate studies or professional programs in medicine, dentistry, or veterinary fields.
Biology majors are permitted to retake an upper-level Biology course only once. Failing two upper-division Biology courses results in ineligibility to continue as a Biology major.
