The Computer Science Department provides Master's Degree programs in both Computer Science and Software Engineering, along with Advanced Study Certificates for Computer Science students, and a collaborative Master's program in Computer Engineering.
These programs aim to equip students with the expertise to thrive as professional computer specialists in our technology-driven society.
Additionally, they prepare motivated students for research, academic careers, or pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science. The curriculum also helps professionals from other fields transition into and excel within computer-related industries.
To earn a Master of Science in Computer Science, students must complete advanced coursework in at least three specialized areas, including computer architecture/engineering, database systems, cybersecurity, AI, networking, software engineering, and systems software. Department approval is required for multiple courses in a single specialization.
Qualified graduate students may secure teaching associateships, involving undergraduate course instruction, lab supervision, and faculty research assistance. Applications for these positions are handled through the Department office.
