The Interior Design program equips students to evaluate, create, and execute residential and commercial spaces that balance functionality with visual appeal for varied demographics. Hands-on learning is emphasized through laboratory and studio coursework. Every Interior Design student completes real-world internships to build professional expertise. Leadership development occurs through participation in interior design associations and the Kappa Omicron Nu honor society. The curriculum explores how interior spaces interact with occupants across different life stages and abilities. The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Department operates on the principle that an engaging, rigorous academic atmosphere fosters growth in students, educators, and administrators alike. FCS examines the connections between individuals and their surroundings, particularly how physical, biological, and social factors influence human actions and growth.
