Interior design involves crafting functional, purposeful, and uplifting environments inside structures. It addresses both the practical and cultural requirements of individuals in their professional and personal lives. The bachelor's degree in interior design equips students with the analytical thinking, design expertise, and relevant historical and technical understanding needed for professional practice. This program maintains close ties with our architecture curriculum at DAAP, sharing foundational coursework during the initial three semesters.
Interior design professionals work across all areas of human activity. Their projects range from corporate and retail spaces to leisure and hospitality venues like hotels and restaurants, as well as healthcare facilities, educational institutions, performance spaces, museums, religious buildings, and private residences.
