The Art and Design Department provides an academic program tailored for students seeking a well-rounded arts education within a liberal arts framework. Aspiring artists can access diverse avenues to showcase their creativity and secure career opportunities post-graduation. Learners can investigate multiple artistic disciplines before selecting the specialization that aligns with their passions and abilities.
The Bachelor of Arts program structure caters to students pursuing: (1) liberal arts with an art focus, (2) concentrated art studies, (3) foundation for art graduate programs, (4) preparation for academic and professional careers, and/or (5) credentials for art education.
All Art majors must complete the foundational lower and upper division coursework. Students then choose elective units from one or more departmental concentrations to fulfill their B.A. requirements in their selected field. The program also includes experiences beyond specialization areas, enabling participants to refine professional competencies and enhance their career prospects.
