To earn a Bachelor of Arts in Music, students must complete 120 semester units, with 45-47 units dedicated to the major. For detailed unit requirements across different degree components, including general education and electives, students should meet with their undergraduate advisor. The program mandates either a BA Senior Recital (MUS 4410) or Senior Project (MUS 4870). Core courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher to fulfill graduation requirements. Enrollment in 4000-level applied music is required during the Senior Recital semester. Those choosing the Senior Project option need to register for at least 2 units of MUS 4870 spread over two semesters, including the term when the final project is due. MUS 4870 units can count toward elective requirements.
