The Master of Science in Physics program enhances and broadens students' understanding of core physics principles and their practical uses. Participants acquire sophisticated mathematical, computational, and laboratory skills that equip them to push the boundaries of physics research and utilize physics approaches in technical environments. This program readies graduates for physics and astronomy PhD programs, as well as for career opportunities or advancement in government or industry roles demanding specialized physics expertise. Physics, the foundational science exploring matter and energy interactions, forms the bedrock for all scientific disciplines and applied fields like engineering and medical sciences. While some physicists focus on expanding theoretical knowledge through research, others apply physics principles in industrial, private, and governmental laboratory settings.
