Individuals who earn a Master of Music degree possess in-depth understanding of music history, literature, and theory. They develop into skilled, thoughtful, and autonomous musicians through performance, improvisation, composition, analysis, and/or scholarly work. They master professional communication through research projects and presentations, exhibit leadership in academic and performance collaborations, and integrate worldwide perspectives and contemporary trends into their professional practice. The program offers two specializations: theory/composition and performance. Graduates emerge with: comprehensive expertise in music history, literature, and theory; advanced musical practice at a pre-professional level; readiness to enter their field with exceptional capabilities; scholarly communication skills through research and presentations; leadership in collaborative settings; creative exploration in programming; and the ability to apply global insights and modern approaches to performance, composition, education, and career growth.
