The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering establishes a groundwork for engineering professions across private industry and government sectors, including manufacturing, transportation, energy, biomedical, and food industries. Students gain hands-on experience in designing, researching, developing, manufacturing, testing, distributing, supporting, maintaining, and recycling devices and products. Mechanical engineers traditionally design and innovate diverse products such as automobiles, aircraft, household appliances, robotics, rockets, space capsules, printers, and computer hardware. The curriculum equips students with a solid grasp of science, mathematics, and engineering principles essential for executing these intricate tasks, which are vital to a contemporary technological society.
First-year students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Complete the 15-unit comprehensive “A-G” pattern with a grade of C- or better by high school graduation.
"A-G" requirement may not be completed during the summer term prior to fall enrolment.
Earn a competitive Multi Factor Admission Score (MFAS)
