The Bachelor of Music program equips students for professional paths in music performance, teaching, or advanced academic pursuits. This curriculum emphasizes specialized training in performance (vocal or instrumental), creative composition, or teaching methods, alongside comprehensive studies in music history and theory. Students can choose from seven focus areas: accompaniment, composition, instrumental performance, jazz/commercial music, keyboard, piano instruction, and vocal studies. Alternatively, the Bachelor of Arts in Music provides three specialized tracks: music history and theory, liberal arts integration, and music education (with options in choral, general, or instrumental instruction). Graduates of the B.A. program will: possess expertise in musical history, repertoire, and theoretical concepts; exhibit proficiency in performance, improvisation, and compositional techniques; communicate effectively through writing and speech; collaborate successfully in various musical productions; and integrate international viewpoints and contemporary developments into their musical practice.
