The University of Tampa offers comprehensive string instrument studies including violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, and classical guitar. Students collaborate with accomplished artist faculty members, several of whom perform regularly with The Florida Orchestra. The program features masterclasses with visiting artists, access to performances at the nearby Straz Center for Performing Arts, and immersion in Tampa Bay's thriving arts scene. String players participate in UT's dynamic chamber music program, influenced by our resident ensemble, the Trio de Minaret. Through challenging repertoire and peer collaboration, students cultivate musical leadership abilities. The Chamber Orchestra provides valuable opportunities to refine ensemble performance skills.
