The Criminology program equips students with foundational skills for entry-level positions in criminal justice while laying the groundwork for advanced studies, including legal education. Undergraduate criminology courses blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications across multiple disciplines. The corrections track caters to those pursuing careers in probation, parole, correctional facilities, and related fields. For students aiming for law enforcement roles in government agencies or private organizations, the law enforcement concentration provides specialized training. The victimology specialization prepares students for work in domestic violence support services, victim advocacy programs, and similar initiatives at various governmental levels, whether within justice systems or community organizations. All three tracks - corrections, law enforcement, and victimology - mandate completion of an internship. The Forensic Behavioral Sciences major focuses on applying psychological, anthropological, social work, and linguistic principles to criminal justice, while still serving those pursuing conventional justice system careers.
