The Music Department faculty brings diverse expertise across multiple specialties. Several professors have earned national and global recognition as performing artists and educators, while others are renowned for their academic research, publications, and scholarly works. All are committed to delivering exceptional musical training through both classroom instruction and private studio lessons.
Our curriculum offers bachelor's and master's level training for aspiring professional performers, composers, and private instructors, as well as those pursuing advanced degrees in performance and composition. The program meets California's subject matter requirements for music teaching credentials and provides graduate studies for those targeting academic or professional careers, including K-12 educators and community college faculty. Additionally, we offer music appreciation courses for community members and non-majors.
